At your age your first duty is to serve Your mother, and to be obedient To her instruction that you may deserve To train to fight, once you’ve earned her consent. For honor comes of learning to obey; To give, instead of taking, in your pride. Your deeds speak more than any words you say, And prove your worth by what you are inside. It’s my desire in you boys to see The gentlemen I expect you to be.
