What Happened

Something demonic
Reached into this realm
And sought until it found
A convenient empty vessel
It could fill and use
To manifest chaos,
Destruction and despair.
It sensed the guards were down,
The protections were removed,
And innocence was exposed
To the working of its will.
It revelled in the pain,
And the broken-ness,
And the repercussions
Still to come.
For in the realm of the spirit
Warfare knows no rules.
